The Vertex I IC-V61-W is the mid-sized speaker in ELAC's Vertex Series I lineup. Series I models represent the entry point into the company's new family of high-performance in-ceiling speakers. You can use a pair of them as the overhead effects speakers in your home theater system, or you can install pairs of them throughout your home and make a stealthy whole-home music system. The included grilles sit flush with your ceiling, helping the speakers to visually disappear and let their sound do the talking. The 'V61-W uses a custom-designed 1" silk dome tweeter and 6-1/2" polypropylene woofer. The tweeter delivers smooth highs, while the woofer handles the midrange and bass frequencies. Both drivers are connected to a sophisticated custom crossover network that ensures smooth transition between the two.
